magnaflow question

would like to replace stock muffler with magnaflow on my 2013 5.7 ram express reg cab 4x2. length measurements on MF charts are considerably shorter than stock. don't want to chance ordering wrong part. any guidance appreciated. thanks.

The MF won't be a direct replacement because they are generally shorter than the stock muffler. You will need to pipe the difference, or order the MF kit from Mufflex. They come already made up with SS pipe so its a direct bolt in swap.

just order your muffler and take it to a muffler shop, they will fix you up. Should cost around $100.

Like said, the Magnaflow mufflers are just universal mufflers that will need to be welded on. This is the cheapest route, but the only downside is that most shops are going to use aluminized steel that will rust over time. If you go with the bolt on Mufflex kit, then you will get the exact same Magnaflow muffler, but with the stainless piping already welded in place and ready to bolt directly in place of your stock muffler. It costs a little more, but it is fully stainless, and can be installed in your driveway in less than an hour.
