Just wondering if anyone has found or thought about adding a magnetic drain plug on the rear diffs..the newer style diffs seem to be more of a drain and refill, rather then actually taking off the entire rear diffs cover, just curious if anyone has found magnetic hex plug to put back in to help catch any wear material...2019 Ram 1500 5.7 Bighorn

We take a magnet and put it on the oil filter to help trap any extra metal fragments that go though it.

Your Gen5 diff drain plugs should already be magnetic. The Gen4 are and I can't see why they would change that.

No it doesn't. The magnets catch metal BEFORE the oil is filtered by the filter's media.

If you didn't have the magnets the oil filter's media would have caught it.
