My abs keep coming on and when I hit the breaks it does that grinding thing almost like its slipping on ice....then it says service abs system. And light goes on...then randomly goes off...can I pull a fuse on this damn thing? Its dangerous and restricting my breaking...i got brand new front and rear pads and rotors.... 2015 ram sport 1500.

Sounds like the brake job is in question if abs is kicking on after the brake job.

Ditto: Rotor out of round and/or cheap pads, but that is just a guess.................Interesting ABS coming on, hmmmmm...

Maybe they did not score the rotors. Old Chevy/Ford trick, if U want to do, to try and seat pads:

Clear stretch of roadway, go Kinda fast, then get on brakes down to 30 mph. Do like 5 times and then see how they roll/stop. Especially if rotors/pads were coated.
Now, they gonna smoke and smell a lil, just to let U know. IMHO

It's possible one of the wires going to the wheel sensor could have been damaged when the brakes were done.
You really need to have this looked at by a dealer or mechanic that has the ability to scan the ABS system in real time.
If it's as bad as you say, you can temporarily pull the F26 fuse to keep the ABS for enabling...key word temporarily

My money would be on there being a bad wheel bearing or sensor. Bearings are pretty norm on these trucks

The dealership said the abs crap is probably happening because I needed a break change. So it was done and it still does the same thing. I think my hubs are fine I rocked them up and down and it was tight. Maybe the rear sensors are bad ?? I tried unbolting that bolt to the sensor and due to rust in Canada the small 8mm head snapped off....does anyone know the correct part number for rear abs sensors??
