Friday we made the rounds at about 30 garage sales. A lot of short trips around town. while driving home noticed Malfunction Light came on - stayed steady. This is the first time in the 3 years
I've owned my 2015 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel. So now what ? The owners manual said it may reset itself after a few driving episodes - Is there a big problem or not ?

Swing by your local parts store, like autozone or advance auto. They will read the code/s for free. It might be as simple as a loose gas cap. Check back here and we'll help you out once we have more info.

Went by Auto-Zone today- They did the scan the problem is "REPLACE DIESEL EMISSIONS FLUID INJECTOR" Since my 2015 Ram 1500 3.0L Diesel only has 51,525 miles on it and went thru the recalls. Should the warranty take care of this problem.

Auto Zone quoted a price of $ 114 on the part. A local vehicle repair shop which is know for inflated prices quoted me a price of $2300 for the part (HS Batman ) talk about a rip off. I'm contacting my Dealer to see if this is covered under warranty. Hopefully it is ?

What was the exact CEL code?
Pull the DEF injector and clean it. A lot of times it crusted up with crystalized DEF and just need some hot water to disolve it.
If cleaning it doesn't help then if your AEM extended warranty is still good then yes that warranty should cover the anything that touches fuel, air or emissions.

My truck has 51,525 miles and I think I may have warranty on it . Although I have been watching YouTube and that's what they showed - pulling it out and using hot water on it.

Wow - got a message from RAM Customer Care that the Extended Warranty covers the repair/replacement of the DEF injector - happy days.
