Looking good, I’m actually debating on which hood mount design I’m going to use. Looking at all kinds of options but definitely going with brackets that mount to the hood hinge bolts. So far as lights I’m undecided. I ordered up a a new winch line and need to get some painting done underneath when Spring hits and it’s warms up. And damn clean that engine:D

thats how these mount, super simple. As far as Ive learned the zroadz brackets are the only ones that will work with the aev snorkel. SDHQ make a great set as well but I think their position wont work with the snorkel

Thuren rear coils ordered and pulled my kings today to send em back to be modified for the new coils. Also if anyone has bought CJC resivoir protectors for thier kings make sure you paint them or coat them. Whatever paint they use doesnt hold up

***Edit to add
I posted this on Facebook and cody from CJC immediately offered me a brand new set to replace these [emoji869][emoji869][emoji869][emoji869] He also informed me that all future sets of these starting in the next week will new coatings. Awesome customer service!!! *****

Finally got my rear Kings installed that Thuren modified for me along with my Thuren rear springs and rear sway bar end links. Also picked up a used decked system for next to nothing. Was torn on losing my bed space but love that all my recovery gear is easily accessible and organized.

Damn, looks like you've had a lot in the works since I last checked in with you. I think it was a good move on 86ing the roof rack. These trucks are already really tall. Just one more thing to catch wind and branches. I feel the same way about the decked bed. I'd hate to lose the flexibility of the bed, but the organization is damn enticing. You still have the top of the deck for loads though. Nice work on the rig.

Thanks man, I was torn on the roof rack. I still like the look and idea for extra storage. Been looking at the rhino rack pioneer series much tighter to the roof. You gonna get out to the rausch creek meet in june?

Yep. I will be at RC in June. BTW there are some recent videos from Ronny Dahl about a weight rating issue he ran into with a Rhino rack. He ended up aborting and going another route. Not sure if it applies here, but I learned something from it about static vs dynamic load ratings.

A few mods to round off the spring. Finally got my bumper back after being at the coaters for almost a month. Tackled the project solo, definitely not advisable but doable. Took me the better part of the day with some breaks to play with my son. HCC definitely builds these bumpers like a tank. Super happy with the quality, I do need to try and adjust it as the gap closer to the fender is a little wider. Fogs are Baja designs SAE squadrons. I also swapped in a fresh amsteel blue winch rope and got the prefilter for the snorkel installed.

Excited to get back out on the trails in the next few weeks. Have some trips in the works with friends and the annual Rausch Creek Power wagon meet in June[emoji869]5593c3822610d9f6307140bfd7e2921d.jpg90027890e118d0184a48ad1a7aed7ebf.jpgbebb26dc45314b07e9a254852f6bd027.jpg4e6825fd6c9d0d1fded968365b062edf.jpgf9365ffadef27cdfd6a333cda232766a.jpg

Looking awesome man. The winch is the biggest *****. I had super tight clearances with the Thuren bumper.

Same here man, I was pretty shocked at how close the clearances were where it slides onto the frame. With the powder coating build up I had to really persuade mine to fit. My wife tried to help but she actually made it more difficult [emoji1787]

Trying to get those captured flag bolts in once the bumper is on was insane.

Luckily I only had to do the bottom one with mine and it was a supplied bolt. I have to go in and adjust mine a bit. I also had to get new hardware I think mine were lost in shipping the two larger bolts in this picture I had to reuse the stock ones from the compatibility bracket and they only get about 2/3 of a nut engagement, so I went out and got some grade 8 hardware to put in there.ac9c9a6bc338ecc057f9d548125c6ee3.jpg

I see. I had to deal with all four on the Thuren bumper. It was like one of those mind teaser mechanical puzzles, except way heavier...lol.

New meat for the wagon. 37x13.5r17 cooper STT pro. now if FedEx would get their crap together and get me the other two tires so I can get these junk milestars off that would be great. The milestars got chewed the F up my last wheeling trip. Just can't cut it on the type of rock I'm usually on, maybe ok on jeeps but not on these heavy boys. Alot of people have raved about these but I just don't see it. This was my first crawling trip with the milestars and I was severely disappointed. I had alot more skipping and spinning issues than my counterparts with Toyo. Toyo was actually my first choice but they're impossible to find. Cooper was my second choice, had good luck with them in the past. When a MT tire is $230 there's probably a reason for it.

Also have found out I've come to love my maple sliders they certainly can take some shots. I've also decided all the "overland" junk is coming off bed. Just unnecessary for goals I'm looking to reach with it. d59b4738b67facaa4426bd4001f6ca95.jpgb20003b5c31f7ead7a076229ac9d6a62.jpgd8c6681e6bc304fad04f977870afc357.jpgef58f12f4f9fc7172abb0259c672785e.jpg71901ca16890ba0a3d04311823530519.jpgb3da766a2c15873a33b8f6271955a750.jpg

I could really feel a difference in tread compound when I felt your Patagonias versus my Toyo MTs. They have an almost spongy feel. As I understand they are great on red rocks out west where dry traction and sandpaper like rock surface is better for it . On our wet loose jagged rocks here in the east they don't fair as well.
