Anyone have a problem with an intermittently malfunctioning LED map light? My Longhorn driver's side map light shines at about 25% most of the time, but occasionally shines at the same level as the passenger side.

Yes this is a common problem with the LED overhead console. They are not serviceable by the dealer so you have two options. Option one is just replace the overhead console with a new one. Be very careful if you buy one off of eBay not to get a used one because you never know if it has the same issues. They sell new ones for around $130 for just the bare console with LED lights and then you just install your Homelink and rear window switch over. There is also a fix posted in the DIY section to actually install aftermarket LED lights. I know a few guys have been successful doing it that way. I just end up buying a new one and installing it and it works great.

I followed how-to's from YouTube. Removed the console. Removed the necessary clips. Pinched the plastic tabs with needle nose pliers to removed the reflector and removed those pos led lights. I used 6000k led 168 bulbs and couldn't be happier

I did the same thing. There's a long write up in a thread around here about how to do it. Took my about 25 minutes.

Anyone have the link? Got the covers off thinking I could just change the bulbs.... no such luck.
