Max care warranty question on value

Hi all. I recently purchased a certified pre owned 2016 ram 1500 crew. I currently am on the tail of the 3mo/3000mi bumper to bumper and have 7yr 100,000 mi power train left on it. It currently has 54000 mi. I spoke with a mopar warranty specialist. Offering me max care bumper to bumper to 100,000 mi for $2700. I do about 12000 mi yr on average. Is this a good deal?

Unless your dealer added or you purchased extra warranty to your powertrain, 2016 gas powered RAM's only come with a 5/60,000 warranty from factory.

A certified used Ram does get the 7 year 100,000 miles POWER TRAIN warranty...my son sells them. In fact, I believe it extends to all certified chrysler vehicles....a good deal on a used vehicle!

The Maxcare warranty is good if you have the need for it. It covers air suspension, navigation, high end radios, power and heated seats, etc., etc., etc.

I have a 2018 Express that has none of those options, so I decided not to pay to protect what I do NOT have with a warranty....silly??

I opted for the Added Care Plus warranty that covers 850 or so items. Most things that I would be concerned with are covered, I believe.

It's a power train warranty plus it covers suspension, A/C, many electronics, etc.

Works for me....

I chose MaxCare because it is unlimited mileage, unlimited time - $100 deductible w/ loaner car.

Way too much electronically going on in this car for me to put it in anyone’s hands other than the dealer.

I thought MaxCare was lifetime, and I thought they stopped selling in in the ending of 2018...

It is my understanding that the Lifetime was stopped, at least.

Lifetime ended, yes.

The best you can get is 8 year 125K miles or 7 year unlimited miles.

Reading other posts on the internet it seems they have gotten rid of Lifetime before but eventually brought it back. Not sure if or how long it will take for it to come back again, though.

Yeah I jumped ahead 6 pages and the talk was of the techenicallity of it actually being a service agreement. Figured it was easier to just ask. Lol

You can get unlimited miles in a 7 year plan, but there is no Lifetime anymore.

Apologies, sounds like it changed shortly after I purchased mine. Glad I got under the wire.

Nonetheless, 7/Unlimited buys plenty of road time.
