So saw some McKees Hydro blue online, saw YouTube video, so decided, might as well try it. Basically what is is, is a coating for vehicle made from silica is what I got out of the information. So decided, before I mess up my pretty truck, would try it on wife's 2011 Kia Optima That has never been waxed, just random, maybe 5 times a year through touchless car wash. I used a claybar, went over car in about 10 minutes, nothing special, washed car well and wheels, then while car was wet sprayed hydro blue, did sections at a time, roof, hood, sides etc, rinsed off each section as I went and then dried car with microfiber towel. Took about 10 minutes longer to apply this stuff over a basic wash. Results are incredible, paint feels like glass, super slick, repels dust etc, been week and looks like was done today. It's about $18 a bottle, does 2 vehicles with bottle. Leaves a durable coating, if any dirt or dust or tire shine spray is on car, the hydro blue locks it in under it, so need to use something to strip the hydro blue off then reapply. I did my Ram with it and truck is super slick.. next doing my RV. Is supposed to hold up for 3+ months.
