How do you shut down MDS?

Trans in drive....Gear- you will see a 1 in the dash....then Gear+ 7 times til you see 8. After that you are still shifting all eight speeds but MDS is off. The cool thing is it will show what gear you’re in when it changes just to the left of the eight. I wish there was a way to turn that on all the time and MDS off all the time without having to buy a $500 tuner.

Other members have reported they found the same small increase in MPG.
I think it might be the MDS program which is a active soft logic program. Could be that when it is off, the vehicle air, fuel and gas intake is more consistent and at higher speeds the engine does not need as much fuel. All I can think of is 4 cylinders are not powerful enough for the 3.21 gears without having to gulp copious amount of gas...

I suspect that is right. So when it's on it's not as consistent and it needs more gas to cope with the situation?
You will SOL.On hwy trips the mds definitely helps mpg. Around my rural area, I don't notice it. I am not aware of the mdd causing issues.
