Simple question, is there a special made Mevotech UCA for leveling kits? The reason I ask is because I just got my truck back today from my local mechanic friend to whom I got to replace both my cv axles and told him to fix anything else that looks bad. Low and behold he replaced both upper control arms with the Mevotech ones because the ball joints were pooched.
I have a 2 1/2" levelling kit and was wondering if these will be better than OEM or is there one specifically designed for the leveling kit? Thanks :)

They are the same geometry as an OEM uca, so not intended to fix any geometry issues with leveling. But they are a hell of a lot beefier than stock and handle the increased ball joint angle better than stock do. That's why so many recommend them here, they are a cheap upgrade to the ****** stockers.

What He said ^^^^^^^

Wow I couldn't say that better myself !

When I installed my Bilstein 5100s at +2.8" I upgraded to the Mevotech UCA's for cheep insurance . I've had this setup for over 35k now and still rides better than stock imo .
The Mevotech UCA's have a greasable ball joint , I grease mine every 6-8k when I rotate my tires [emoji16][emoji16]

Alrighty, a big thanks to yortnodnard and R.L.K for reassuring me that I got the good UCA's accidentally installed, lol! Glad to know the stock ones are better than OEM and yes I like the fact that they are greaseable and carry a limited lifetime warranty!!!!!
Thanks again, much appreciated :)

I'm fixing to install mine tomorrow. From what I have read, they tend to produce surface rust. Make sure to paint them before installing, or leave them as is. I hit mine with three coats of flat black Rustolium. Some people go as far as to apply POR15 instead. Regardless they'll outlive the truck. It simply comes down to personal preference.

Crap, they are already in the truck, pretty hard painting them now without making a mess :(

True, but if we continue mention the need to put three or four coats of paint, on Mevotechs, everytime somone posts a thread about them, more folks will know and NOT be in your current boat.

FYI, they will rust but it will never be anything but an appearance issue.

they are sold little UCA for the price.
