I like it but I don't.

Reason why is superficial... They tried to copy the SuperSnake Hood but it doesn't look as nice.



Also, the Supersnake comes with inserts to redirect water out of key parts underneath.

To my knowledge there aren't any Supersnake style hoods for the 4th gens. This appears to be the closest.

I wouldn't think fiberglass would weigh any more than the stock hood? What's the stock hood made of, aluminum?

Besides, your power MPG would probably improve from a Ram air setup that well done.

And if it can be made in fiberglass, it can be made in carbon fiber hehehe.

Hood looks mean, it has a bite to it. I like it. The second hood posted looks great too, but the first one just looks vicious with the vents along both sides.

Kinda my thoughts. Plus those vents are actually functional heat extractors

The stock hood is aluminum and so it will be lighter than fiberglass but not by much. Plus those carbon fiber hoods are not fully carbon fiber.

True. I have a vis carbon fiber style hood on my tacoma prerunner. It does fit great and weighs half of what stock weighs. It does need to be pinned down and if you park it outside much you will need to put a quality clearcoat on it as the clear supplied will turn yellow after time .

the vararam is designed to be used with the stock hood so that it seals properly to work the way it was designed. not sure if the center section of those hoods is taller.

Even if it is that's an easy fix. A few minutes making some seals and you're done.
