Mirror Microphone

Has anyone changed out the microphone for a 2015 or similar year Ram 1500? The mirror microphones don’t work worth a damn and I wanted to add one closer to the driver. Has anyone had any luck in doing so?

I personally don't like to use any car mics. I've never heard good things about them and have always had trouble understanding the other person.
I prefer a headset of some kind. Not just because the mics suck, but also because I can get in/out of the vehicle without any interruption.

I've heard people complain about them but once I upgraded to the newer 8.4 I have no complaints about mine. I "think" @Mpgrimm2 of M2Mods sells a conversion to the headliner mounted microphones...

I was trying not to cut into the headliner, but when I converted to the 8.4 my mics got worse. They’ve had feedback for a long time, now it’s like they don’t work anymore
