I just installed a set of the modifystreet branded headlights, the single projector oem style that would come stock in a 18 sport/laramie. Xenon depot HID's installed. All the lights are working perfectly, except the cutoff shield on the passenger side is drunk.

Passenger side

full

Driver side
full

there an easy way to fix the passenger side shield, or do i need to just send these back for an exchange?

One thing that kicked my ass on the 2019 style ones was the placement of the bulb.

Gotta be very particular in placing it.

The bottom picture looks like the same view as my Modify Streets but I have the 2019 look and I don’t have a problem with mine.

So I should reseat the bulb?

What do you watch for when aligning? It's a h7, it clipped in. The way it installed in the bulb holder put the outside wire at 6 o clock.

I will pull it out tomorrow and check it. Hope it's an easy fix.

Thanks

I couldn’t actually find an exact direction to point the outside wire on my HIDs to be honest. There was no definite direction that I could find to be absolutely sure it was correct. Someone else hopefully will chime in if there is a definite direction to put them.

I had the headlight powered and carefully kept unseating and reseating bulbs until I got the perfect position.

Now I have sharp cutoff, level, and the high beams don't look crosseyed (which they did on the driver side) due to slight placement issues.

Ok, I will definitely do that tomorrow. I didn't realize it was that finicky.

I have never been a fan of H7 (spring clipped) bulbs, but I have to say, I LOVE these headlights once the bulb is inserted correctly....

Not as easy/convenient as my '03 Silverado, but WAY better output.

I’m with you Scott! I love the looks and performance on my polished black 2019 look projectors once I put in the Innovited H7 5000k HID low beams. I probably won’t even turn on my high beams because the low beams are so bright.
