Newb here, hopefully this belong in the general section.
Bought the truck used, and looking underneath it didn't come with any skids at all so i ended up ordering 3 plates:

2 68089777AB (one for the transfer case, and the other one for the front diff), and the Power steering one 68200064AB.

UPS delivered yesterday, and i was all excited to install them today.
I was able to install only the one for the Front diff.

I don't have a rear crossmember needed to mount the 2nd plate in the transfer case :(

And i only have 2 holes (nursets) for the power steering one, however the other crossmember where the other end of the power steering plate is supposed to be attached, doesn't have any holes ???

I already have the front diff one installed see below

But is that crossmember suspposed to NOT have the other 2 holes ?

Solution for Transfer case
I'm confused with the part number i need
There is the cross member only: Mopar 52022046AG ($155)
And some sort of TC kit, Mopar 82214497 ($83)
the kits is suppossed ot have the TC skid, the crossmeber i think i need (the rear one past the transfer case, i only have the trans cross member), and the bolts.
Can i get the last ? i don't mind having an extra skid, for all i care the kit comes with the crossmember and the bolts, but will i have to drill anything?

How about for the Power steering, should i just drill that crossmember where the 2 holes are supposed to be ? or i guess i'll need that crossmember section with the holes already, is there a part number for that one ?

Thanks a lot.

You might be able to check with "Benny" at Mopar Parts in the vendor section. He might be able to tell you which are the correct parts for your truck. Good luck

Were you able to find a solution to this yet?

So, ironically you have a thread already about skids....shoukd have figured lol. I was just under my truck assessing things and trying to look at a logical and affordable way to get some skids under it.

First off did you sort this out for your truck. All my crossmember have the holes so it's weird yours is missing a set?? Secondly. Just an idea, but I'm thinking about adding a second t case skid, and putting it next to the existing one as both crossmembers are flat, id be able to get a bit and bolt on the rear most member, than id have to drill and tap the trans crossmember as it's boxed out. But that would pretty much cover the rear of the belly per se and protect my vitals, since I have that fancy exhaust filters that cost a bazillion dollars. Add the front steering plate as I don't have that, than I was looking, I may try and fab a belly plate that connects both, similar to revs setup without making new x members. That plastic trans pan scares the **** out of me and our break over sucks. I think if I got a little crafty I could make one that would work, would be perfect but it would be better than nothing.

So my idea is simple in essence. Add the extra t case plate, just need to drill my own holes. That covers the thing that I outlined as STUPID. Than fab a flat skid that mounts under the main open belly under the trans that installs before the oem skids, that way there's no lips to hang up on. It can stay relatively flat, except a few smaller spots on the front crossmember that would need to be pieced in with small angles. There's already small washers in place, so I don't see adding, say a simple died 1/8" plate being overly intrusive to anything. I smashed the stock skids hard and they took it ok, maybe jump to 1/4" plate even if you wanted. It could garner ample protection for important bits without too much fab.

Critique my thoughts!

Last pic is why I run these stupid flaps, didn't wash the underside at all, with all the mud I saw this weekend, there was no heavy build up at all, just the silt from puddles like id get from a dirt parking lot. That right there made them worth it, the rebel I was with had so much caked into all the floorboard creases it was disgusting. God bless his mechanic lol. 53d06de5fbbc90d31b6b5525667f3486.jpge6e55cc7e82d0a8ff9b22fb5c67558d5.jpg21f7f8492e198d147ac67a9de82d266b.jpg6b2a2dee32a5982289687c6b20f5b73c.jpgd74c4a2a75dd891a1f29dc782c09e958.jpg9e5edbe029e93b9b8146c2fa18ea7def.jpg

Yes i got the oil pan skid, and the transfer case skid, https://www.ramforum.com/threads/qu...ed-for-2014-ram-1500-crew-cab-express.125022/

Gas tank skid is still in my garage, that one is not a plug and play like some have said, i bought cross members and everything to make it fit, but there are holes in the back of the frame i don't have, and it seems it'll interfere with the lower control arm on the driver side, i think i could make fit it if i hammer the stupid bracket so it'll clear the LCA, maybe one this days i'll get it installed.
