I will never understand spending thousands of dollars (usually payments) on something, and being perfectly happy with getting nothing in return. Sounds like money being thrown away. But, it makes you feel good, and you can post little smiley faces.
78% of people in America live paycheck to paycheck. 68% have less than $1000 in savings. I figure it's that mindset of those who can rationalize an extended warranty.
Like I said before, it's an emotional purchase made by broke people.
I have listened to Dave Ramsey and agree with many of his beliefs - I completely disagree on his credit card stand though as it is ill advise for many people.
Guaranteed you also throw money away on insurance as does Dave Ramsey as he fully endorses life insurance plans for the vast majority of people. AND very very few people collect on said life insurance so it is all thrown away.
The maxcare policy I have is an insurance.
And like most all insurances, I hope not to have to use it but if I must it is there. Examples of said insurances are Life, Auto, Boat, AAA, AFLAC, Homeowners, health, etc.
How is insurance on a $50k depreciating investment that I personally intend to have for many years to come a bad option?
If I was given an option to pay $2450 up front and $100 per accident for life (or even 10 years) for mandatory auto insurance, I would sure as **** jump at that option!!!
And remember when you assume - 78% of people in America live paycheck to paycheck. 68% have less than $1000 in savings. I figure it's that mindset of those who can rationalize an extended warranty.
Assume and you
think you know what somebody wants or needs, you’
ll be wrong
When you
ASSUME (
ass u me) you
make a ‘ass’ out of ‘u’ and ‘me’
