more audio trouble !!!!

i'm following this closely....Since I decided to keep my 08, I'm ready to do some audio. I have about 1K to spend. I have the Kenwood DNX5140 double din .....everything else needs upgraded. any suggestions????

How much thump do you want?

I tell you what I love.....something simple? Kicker 700.5 to run everything. 4 door speakers, 1 sub and a FoxBox.

You can get **** ton of sound from that for a grand!

for the record, ABS plastic is wayyyyy better than wood. its much thinner which allows for more volume in the same space, but doesnt flex like wood. more sound is produced because less sound is lost in vibration of the wood.

the only thing that competes with a foxbox is a custom fiberglass box (as long as its built right)

front 6x9s = 250
rear 6.5s = 150
sub = 100
wiring = 150

and you have 100 left over for beer. very rough estimate there by the way.

I told him that when he says that his box fits a 4th gen crew........he's WRONG. LOL

The spacers didn't fit, just turned into more of a project than I expected. BUT, it sounds freakin' awesome now.

his is behind the seat, dual 10" downfiring vented box. I am going to guess........150 bucks? I dunno.

FYI. Any time you wire resistance loads in parallel they cut in half, wire them in series and you add them together. 2- 4 ohm subs in parallel measure 2 ohms for the amp, 2-4 ohm subs in series measure 8 ohms to the amp. A dual voice coil sub is essentially two subs in one as far as wiring is concerned.

I have never heard one, but all i have ever read about the fox box is that they are amazing. JJ do you know how much airspace the dual 10 ported one has for the mega? I remember that for the quad cab under the seat version a real big amp was required to get the subs to perform right because of the limited air space.
