Morimoto headlights

When the information becomes available I would appreciate a vendor to absolutely clarify if the DRL’s function on these headlights will operate with or without a fuse tap. I did receive an email from Morimoto but their information on the lights was limited because they are currently just prototypes.

Lol, so I had posted the exact same review, word for word, about these lights on the morimoto Facebook page, under their new RAM headlight thread yesterday. Overnight, they deleted my post and blocked me from their page...

I honestly thought they’d do this after I posted, so I took a quick screenshot when I submitted.

Like the new vid they look siiick. I'd kind of like to see the light out put before ordering but also want to get in on the cheaper pricing. Although they will probably have sales all the time.

There is a local guy that does retrofit and what not as well. Hes pretty good from what I've seen, and told me I'm probably looking in the 800-1200 range to paint and retro my quads if I wanted. Depending on what options I went with. But I definitely like the look better here and not having to be without headlights for a week while he works on them.

I don't really get what you all are talking about with the DLR's? Maybe because I don't have projectors now. But what is different here?

should be DRL=Daytime Running Lights

You can have your dealership activate yours.

Yeah I knew DLR means day time running lights. But I guess I didn't really get what people are saying the issue could be with the new lights. They want to be able to turn them on? or off? Or what

To the best of my knowledge, it seems they are talking about a work around to activate the DRL's.

Those white LEDs top and bottom are suppose to be DRL’s, but they just simulate as DRLs, you still have to turn on your lights to make them work so therefore your tails etc will be on during the day....or......wire it up custom

Ok that makes sense. So in order to have LED bars on all the time without the rest of my lights on we need to wire it different. Would you still need to have a dealer activate it that point or would the wiring workaround solve that

This is exactly why I wouldn't buy the headlights. The fogs are so disappointing I cant even give them away with a clear conscience. Once I finish my fog light build Im going to swap them on a truck on my lot and send it to the auction. They are pretty but as far as illumination I just cant buy them.

Ditto, I'm already setting time aside to remove my Morimoto fogs. The factory housing with LED's aren't as sexy but they worked great!

Oh The Retro Shop, I've worked with Jeremy before with my old RAM. Great guys!

Jeremy helped a ton on my Retrofit I did the D2S in place of my quads and man what a difference. Having a small amount of trouble aiming them as a few inches on the wall is apparently a million feet on the road

The retrofit source is basically like the main supplier for these lights and many others. They work closely with morimoto. Hence why JB1 recommended voicing your opinion on their Facebook page, like many others have.

Do you think you got a bad set? I’m just asking because I’m the thread below based off the pics the fog lights look pretty bright to me.
