Oh ****, here comes the boom
yeah, change the oil warm I doubt there would be an issue, but as you can see it does exactly what we thought it does. I have no idea how that would be safe for a di turbo.
My oil change is due in 400 miles, just got the lubeguard, gonna see if it makes any noticeable differenceI think it depends on what oil you are using. I wouldn't recommend this with redline, and some oils have more moly then others. A low or no moly oil I would do 15 ounces, a good moly oil like qsud-amsoil-t&g I would just dump a 10 ounce size in there. The only time I would recommend biotech with redline would be if redline didn't kill a tick. If you are fighting start up chatter or tick, 15 ounces for sure any non redline oil.
so using 15.oz.lubegard with 6.5qts.5w30 red line is a over kill ? at every oil change just wandering
(thanks burla for your answer)I don't like the strategy of mixing esters. Redline is about as stout as you can get, unless you had a nagging tick I wouldn't even think about adding lubegard to redline. I'd probably opt for a different oil and use the lubegard, which is a legit strategy.
