I am new to this forum. So, I hope I am in the right area for this question. I recently got a 1999 Ram 1500 Laramie 2WD. I already have a winch that is on an old GMC truck. I want to move the winch over to my Dodge, but it does not seem to be set up for mounting. I know there are options to purchase a custom bumper set up, but I just don't have the budget for that. Any suggestions on an inexpensive solution?

you can buy a cage that mounts to the outside of your bumper to hold it, and then make brackets to bolt to your frame... thats probably the cheapest way to go

I bought this Chevy bumper for $100 of Craigslist and changed the mounts to fit. You might be able to do this with your GMC bumper

I have a front hitch for my winch. It's in a cradle so I'm able to swap it front to rear easy.

This is the hitch I went with: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000E1F8EI/ It tucks up better than the Curt.

If you're not up to fabbing something up its the way to go imo.
