What kind of MPG are you getting with your 3rd gen? I don't know if I gotta do some fuel system cleaning, but I average 9-12 MPG. I think with my current setup I should be getting a little better than that, just wanted to see if anyone can relate.

With my stock wheels, I've gotten 21 all highway. With my 35s I get about 17 highway and 12-13 city. Yes this is hand calculated not overhead display. But honestly the overhead display was within 1/2 mpg with my factory wheels.

I'm contemplating a regear, either myself or someone else. Probably 4.56s and put 45s or 37s once it's lifted.

Well.... just filled up. Hand calculation is 11.6, overhead says between 12.8 and 13.4. This is with granny driving and setting cruise at 59mph.

Yeah something isn't right then if that's all highway. If I keep my cruise on 60 I'll get around 18 even with the 35s. Depends on the road though.

Do you have a lot of idle time? Idle time kills mpg numbers a lot more than most people think. Also, the mds DOES work. I know people hate it and all, but on a correctly running truck it does make a difference especially on the highway. The people that say it makes no difference are the same people talking about they get 10mpg highway. No offense to anyone who has it disabled lol. Yeah it sounds bad, yeah it takes away some responsiveness, but it does help.

I have stop and go traffic going back and forth to work. I always start my truck while making coffee to get everything going and warmed up a bit.

I get about 9.5 in the city but I'll pull about 17.5 on the highway. That's setting it at cruise at about 67 mph or so. That's a 4.7L with a superchips 87 tune, 7" lift, 35" tires, and 3.92 gears. My idling kills me a lot so I try not to, except for in the morning.

So how do you fix that issue of not stopping? Center the Miata's on your truck and cruise over them? California roll...

I'm guessing you're already out then... You and Ron, built Hemi = **** MPG. I think you only see as good as you do because you RCSB (dropped) so the aero is a lot better than mine.
