Ok leaving for atlantic city today. 116 miles one way. Let's see what kind of mpg I get. I'm leaving it on the 91 octan tune. Don't want to listen to the mds drone. Will update when I get back.

Avg 17.5 at 70 mph on the trip down here. Might switch to the mpg tune just to see the difference.

Ok I was to hungover and tired to change to the mpg tune before we left. So finally numbers are 235 miles 16.5 for the trip. Was a little hard on the gas coming home. That's probably the reason I lost 1 mpg on the return trip. Just wanted to get home. Lol

That's still not bad; I never egt that kind of mileage while cruising at that speed. Tuner is the diff between us...

My 4.7 08' averaged 17.5 mpg on economy tune, mild ported tb, CAI, and a flowmaster side exit exhaust. Filled up the tank, went from Lubbock to Dallas... pulled 430 miles (riding the E mark) before I decided I needed to refill due to distance of gas stations. I was kinda disappointed, thought I should have gotten more mpg. I did have four WOT to pass, other than that it was cruise control, and very delicate driving habits. 75 mph with rpm's at 1900, overdrive/automatic.

I just got back from a 2 week trip to Florida. It was over 2500 miles round trip including driving around in FL. The truck averaged 18.1 mpgs on a HF 89 octane tune with 4.10 gears and cruise control set at 80 mph. I love this truck!!:party36:

MDS OFF.

That's pretty good. I'm thinking about trying some different tunes on my truck to see how it will affect my mileage.

Once I get the throttle body. I'm going to get a hemifever tune. Let's see the mpg on those tunes.

That's where I'm at 16-17 around town 18-20 highway at 70 if I jump it to 80 it drops to 15 and bottoms out at 13 no matter how fast you want to go.

Wow you gen fours get such better economy! I know you are rcsb with 4.10s and im a qcsb 4x4 3.92 2006 but i consider 15 mpg excellent! Ive recently figured out the scales cross at 15.3! I rarely see 15 l/100 km so im sure ive never seen 20 mpg lol
My summer DD average is 16.6 l/100 km (14.2 mpg). with long stints of responsible highway driving i can see better but all it takes is a little bit of happy pedal and it climbs right back up :)
In the winter when its actually cold and snowy ( sometimes on and off in my region) my average is more like 20 l/100 km ( 11.8 mpg)

I would be lucky if I got 15mpg in the city. Then again I haven't gone one take of gas without flooring more than a few times..lol
