I thought about doing a delete instead of a Flowmaster Outlaw
but as I work 3rd shift I figured my neighbors wouldn't like me remote starting it at 11:30 every night.
Then I said "F' em -I'm doing it anyway!" till my wife reminded me that she's in bed by then too...

LoL....
Yea, my neighbor just bought a Ford Raptor and it has the Roush exhaust on it... Start up is a bit loud with that one too, but since I have a Cobra with a 520CID big block and sidepipe mufflers that you can literally roll a baseball though, I wouldn't dare complain... LoL...

I just did mine. I have an express with the dual exits. It sounds good its not near as loud as i thought it would be. It does drone a bit when im driving 75 to 80 mph but no drone under that. im happy with it.

I might end up deleting the resonators. Do you guys think it will make a big difference in sound?

Resonators are tiny on the dual exhaust. Can’t see it making a noticeable difference to delete them.

If you have deleted the muffler I would keep them or drone is insane

I guess that’s the round about point I was trying to make. I have a carven progressive and kept my resonators. My muffler guy backed my theory by saying there wouldn’t be any benefit by removing them.

What's the average price on getting a muffler delete done at a muffler shop, compared to the bolt on.

I bought a generic xpipe for 50 buck and it was about 140 to install so 190 or I've heard 160ish to have them just weld in a straight pipe. I did the x because it does change the tone and small performance advantages.

Where are you putting the x pipe at. its not a h pipe or true dual setup to start right. i dont know that there is a point in doing a crossover if it comes out of a single pipe. Unless you converted to true dual.

Listened to literally hundreds of clips over the past few days and I'm still not sold on the delete. Some trucks it sounds great, others it sounds exactly what it is, a truck with no muffler.
Maybe it's the spotty phone audio.

All I want is a direct fit replacement that sounds close to the 50 series on my '02 4.7

I wanted to have whatever I decided on delivered by the time my truck comes in but at this point it happening.

I just cut out my factory muffler and welded in a cherry bomb glasspack muffler, cheap and easy and the truck sounds amazing.

Heh heh. Maybe I'll get the delete and pack it full of some R-13.
