Just bought my first Hemi a couple weeks ago and already have the itch to do some mods. My main question is, what are the must have bolt on mods besides and intake and exhaust? is there anything i need to know about these motors, like common problems that can be avoided, etc.? it is a 2011 5.7 sport.

TIA! :favorites13:

You must get a catch can. or your vehicle will explode.
I conveniently have a unit sitting in the garage I can sell you!

Seriously though, but it!

my catch can has not yet exploded nor the Hemi but since I have had it installed I have to admit the extra 50hp comes in handy.

Even tho we kid about catch cans, most of us have one; even if it only catches a little nasty oil instead of recirculating it through the engine that's a good thing.

Port and polish throttle body, tuner, and the two you mentioned.

Your big upgrades are going to be a tuner, longtube headers, gears, and a tq converter. The intakes, throttle bodies, efan, and catback exhaust systems all make power, but the 4 big mods will always be tuning, longtubes, gears, and converter.

If only it wasn't so expensive to do gears and converter!

4WD gear swap can get expensive, but the converter is only $550. That is cheap when you consider the gains you get from the converter. Bang for buck, it is at the top of my list with the tuner.
