@ 100k my 2013 Ram 5.7 developed the ‘tick’. Started using Liqui Moly “Hydraulic lifter Additive” (saw it on a thread). My tick is gone!!! I use it at each oil change. Now at 130k NO tick!

FYI thanks for the report, that product is a high quality viscosity increaser. An example is redline 5w30 has a visc at 40c of 71, this product has a visc at 40c is 1400. So there are two main lubrication strategies that work on hemi tick depending on which tick you have, additives versus viscosity. So now you know your tick can silenced with viscosity, which is not always the case, many ticks you need EP additives to handle the pressures. Often with visc additives what happens over time is they can shear and you can lose visc and the tick would come back. Now, due to the density of this product which is why I say high quality, that may or may not happen, just be prepared if tick comes back the visc could be thinning. It is likely moving up in oil weight can accomplish the same thing, but I generally like this product when compared to other oil thickners.

There are a lot of members who read this forum to learn about their truck (I am one of them). We learn from the other members who have a lot more knowledge. We likely don't have much useful knowledge to contribute. I can say I have a Catch can on all of my vehicles.....:dancingpoop::dancingpoop::dancingpoop: Emojis are great....

I too have a 14 Ram with a Hemi. How much gunk do the cans really catch on a Hemi? I used to have one on my 1999, 5.9.

How would you compare it to Lubegard - same, better, worse?
