Hey guys,
I just purchased a new Pioneer AVIC Z150 head unit. I haven't decided how exactly I'm going to install it. (i.e….the bezel) I know that I need to either modify my bezel, purchase the OEM Navigation bezel or purchase another aftermarket product.
If you have an aftermarket Navigation unit installed, can you post any pictures in your 3rd Gen. Ram to give me install ideas.

Thanks everyone.

I installed a kenwood 418 dd head unit a year or two ago with navigation in my 07 dodge ram, one of my best mods yet! Ended up buying the factory navigation bezel off ebay for I think about $100 and worked perfectly. I'm sure u could probably modify and cut yours to fit, but I would recommend the factory nav bezel.

I agree with Hemi1300. If I were you I would just buy the navigation bezel either from E-Bay or see if your local keystone automotive supplier has one. Worse comes to worse you can always go to the dealership but that will cost a bomb.

Any pictures? I decided to go with a custom bezel from Weedahoe. It was pricy and I hope it turns out good. I'll post some pictures when I get the bezel and do the install.

Cool... hey how you like the Infinity reference speakers? Was it worth the upgrade? Thinking about getting those Infinity Primus but only powering them off the stock head unit. I don't want to go too crazy with amps and all.

To be honest, I'm not that impressed with the Infinity Reference Speakers. I've had them running off the head unit power and now I have them running off the amp. Not much difference in sound. I expected more kick out of them. But they are mounted in the doors so not much air space to work with I guess.

all my speakers and amp are already in. I'm just replacing the deck. I got a Pioneer Z150BH deck with all the wiring and HDMI connectors for my Iphone 5. I have the Infinity Reference speakers front and rear with a 12" Alpine Sub in a custom box that replaces the front seat middle seat with a seat that has the sub pointing at the floor. I have a Hifonics 5 channel 1000W Zeus amp. So I'm ready to go. Just need the bezel. I don't have steering wheel controls.

I see. I have a 2000w amp, two 10 P3 Rockford Fosgate subs already mounted in a box, and a sony headunit sitting in my garage that i removed from my last ram. But I want a double din. The only thing that is holding me back is the install. Ive heard of needing multiple adapters and harnesses for the antenna, steering controls, bypasses for the oe amplifier etc.

Does your truck have an amp built in? Mine didn't. There is a harness made by PAC that you just plug in and makes install simple. You will need the ant. plug and probably would want the parking brake bypass so you can access the unit while you're in drive. If you are going from single din to double, you will need to figure out how you want to do your dash bezel. You can buy the stock Navigation bezel on ebay or find someone like weedahoe who can customize your current bezel for a perfect fit. Of course I haven't received my bezel yet but I will post pictures when I do.

no I don't have the Infinity System. Go to crutchfield.com
They are a good place to check what you need.
