Looks like it only works on a 17 to 19 3.6 truck,i didn't find anything for the 5.7 equipped 1500's on their site.
I copied and pasted the applications that I put in the original post, directly off the site. It does cover the 5.7. It shows under the 2500s but I would call them and see if it works on 1500s too. If you click on the Stellantis (FCA) Tab and scroll down you will find it. Here is a screen shot.

Like I said in the post just above your last one, if you are interested I would contact the company, as the 5.7 in the 2500 is showing, so it MAY work in a 1500.

I couldn't even find a price, but by the looks of the interface,i'm assuming it's not exactly going to be cheap,it'd probably be cheaper to unlock the pcm and tune the truck for a higher idle.I hate outfits that don't list a price :Big Laugh:

Other option are the manual throttle controllers used in excavators, farm equipment etc. They only cost about 70 bucks. Build a bracket hook them to the gas pedal or run it to the throttle body linkage.

No throttle cable, they've been drive by wire for many years now,and hooking that to the pedal assembly is easier said then done,RJ's idea is alot easier to work with then a cable would be. Can you up the idle rpm on your 2500 Dean,as it's my understanding only the cab and chassis trucks with a 6.4 have that as an optional feature, but alot of the Cummins trucks that are a cab and box truck do have that option. @HEMIMANN can you up the idle rpm on your 6.4 equipped 2500 using the cruise buttons

@Dean2 here's how you do it,get back to us if your truck will up the idle rpm using the cruise buttons.

High Idle Feature (If Available):
  • Some Ram 2500 models, particularly Chassis Cab versions, have a built-in high idle feature activated via the cruise control system.

  • To enable it, turn on the cruise control, press the "SET-" button, and the idle speed will increase to around 900 or 1100 RPM, depending on the vehicle.

These guys make the high idle kits you are looking for.

Standard kit includes single OBDII datalink harness
Ram 1500, 3.6L Engine (2017-2019)
  • E-AFIS706VSX-BP | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • E-AFIS707VSX-BP | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram 2500-5500, 5.7L Hemi Engine (2015-2017)
  • A-AFIS706VSX-B | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
Ram 2500-5500, 6.4L/6.7L Engine (2013-2017)
  • A-AFIS706VSX-B | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • A-AFIS707VSX-B | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram 2500-5500, 6.4L Engine (2018-2022)
  • E-AFIS706VSX-BP | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • E-AFIS707VSX-BP | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram 2500-5500, 6.7L Engine (2018-2024)
  • E-AFIS706VSX-BP | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • E-AFIS707VSX-BP | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram ProMaster, 3.6L Gas Engine (2013-2019)
  • A-AFIS730VSX-B | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • A-AFIS732VSX-B | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram ProMaster, 3.6L Gas Engine (2020-2021)
  • C-AFIS730VSX-BP | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • C-AFIS732VSX-BP | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on
Ram ProMaster, 3.6L Gas Engine (2022)
  • C-AFIS733VSX-BP | Up to 3 programmable speeds; AC auto trigger off
  • C-AFIS734VSX-BP | 1 programmable speed; AC auto trigger on

That looks interesting, and I understand the use for the product, but I don't appreciate this feature.

I want to tweak the low rpm to about 750 in all gears, not just Park.

All the Diesels will do it, no matter what configuration of cab, box or Chassis. My understanding is the same as yours that for the 6.4 it only exists in the cab and chassis ones. Mine does NOT idle up doing that, I tried it quite a while ago. I was thinking in terms of winch draw, so that is when I found the guys I posted above. Never did move forward as I don't idle my pickup all that much and the few times I need to winch hard, it is easy enough to idle the motor up with the foot feed.

No, way back I installed a Diablo Edge inline tuner so I could remove for legal resale here, per state vehicle title law. Cruise buttons are used to choose from 8 different pre-canned tune programs, none of which bumps up idle rpm.

Tow wreckers have a pull knob on the lower dash, like the old school choke cable on 40-50's cars, but our trucks are drive by wire.
Just like that cable that @dean showed in post 25 for the farm equipment. Our cable / sling type wreckers (Holmes 440 and 480's) had that under the dash and our ramp trucks had one at the control position in the back also.

Fun times

Could the old style throttle control cable be used by attaching the end somehow to the back side of of the go pedal ? Maybe fab up a couple of simple brackets for attachment points ? It sure would keep it simple and out of the electronics..

Suppose it could. But I surely wouldn't attach anything to the go pedal, and the old style was connected to the carb (throttle body on the diesels), through appropriate linkage.

What could possibly go wrong??????

Does anyone have access to the electrical schematics for the gas pedal signals?

For example, if the drive by wire is a 0-5v signal, we could wire in a switch and resistor to give 1.1v to get to a desired rpm.

I'm seeing the same thing, I was hoping to avoid a tuner, but I guess it might be the only/best option for my '17 5.7.
