I have a 16 2500 cummins with the oem led taillights. The passenger side taillight won’t work. The only thing that works for it is the turn signal brake and reverse lights. The running light will not work. I tried installing a new taillight but that didn’t work. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I'd check fuses and/or reseat the plugs on the taillight.

I worked on a friends the other day. Simple headlight bulb. Well turned out it wasnt that i left lights on and wiggled the connection. That was it the plug. I would imagine other plugs may have similar issues. Have a helper hold the brakes and wigglr the plug. After that a voltage check.

Apologies for not disclosing the fix. I simply bent the pin so slightly and plugged it back in.

The plugs do tend to get weak. I finally had to break down and replace the passenger headlight one. I patched it along for 4 years.

I finally bit the bullet and brought it into the dealership. They found that the inline connector in the front driver side wheel well had a shorted together. It’s not covered under warranty and want 1475.00 to replace it. The part which I found online for 80.00 and 1395.00 for labor. Now I don’t know where exactly this connector is and if anyone does let me know. Also the part number is 68080569aa if anyone is curious.

Pull the front driver's side wheel well liner down, there a big harness of wires that runs to the back of the vehicle.
