Not a fan of electronics in vehicles so when we ordered our '21 Ram 3500 we bought the minimum to get adaptive cruise.

We have just started playing with attaching our galaxy phones (a5 / a13) to have google maps come up on our 8 inch monitor.

The problem is that the voice comes out REALLY LOUD. We have:
. turned off the volume on our radio,
. turned off all the volumes on our phones,
. we have gone into google maps, and set the sound to soft,
. went and sat in the truck and scrolled through every menu I could find,
. asked out tech savvy kids,
. I have downloaded the truck manual (useless) and have read through the uconnect manual with out and joy.

Not a biggie because we usually run another Garmin but would still like to use it.

The last time I asked for help (putting the bra one) at the dealership they wanted to charge me by the hour.

Anyone know how to turn down the volume ?

Thanks, Ian.

Check in the phone's sound settings if you can enable the multi-volume settings

I believe you have to turn it down WHILE the voice is talking.
+1 on this. When the Android “voice” is speaking use the volume knob to lower the volume. This sets the “voice” volume and will be remembered by the radio.

If you unlock your phone and hit the volume up or down buttons, there should be 3 horizontal dots at the top of the slider bar that pops up. Touch those 3 dots before the slider pop up disappears. That should display the other volume sliders for you to adjust.

I believe you have to turn it down WHILE the voice is talking.
This is how it is even with the 12" screen.
If you are listening to the radio at one volume, and you get a call come through, it automatically plays the call at whatever volume you had it at last time.
Then when the call is over, it reverts back to the volume the radio is playing at.

Same thing happens with the factory navigation.
