Well guys I have been looking at dealerships for over a month and I can't get approved for anything due to my credit.. I'm 20 so I don't have much established yet and owe to much on this truck to trade off there'd be lots of negative equity... So I think I am going to my bank ASAP to take out a couple grand so I can get everything fixed up my front end first ... My front brakes are squealing and grinding really bad and it clunks up there really bad. So I'm just gonna monitor the oil and keep it full for now and just keep putting money away until I can afford to have it looked at and fixed or whatever the issue may be

Just a thought... you may be bette off addressing the engine first. Would suck to put those front end parts into it and have the motor pop...

btw your front end clunking I'll bet is sway bar bushings.. maybe links. Either way, less than $100 from rockauto.com installed yourself.

Brakes too, order the parts online, buy a Haynes manual and change em yourself. Not hard and definitely don't need a $2000 loan from the bank brotha!

Well if it's holding then you may have gotten lucky. Keep checking her every 100 miles and see my edit up there ^

It's only been like two-three weeks on the oil but I keep checking it. And thanks for the tips!

Well had a shop look at my front end (I know I should be looking into the oil issue, but this shop looked at my front end for free) they said my seal where the inner tie rod goes into the rack is bad and leaking so now I know where my leak is .. And just my front brakes. What a relief I thought it was going to be ball joints and a bunch of other things

Got my oil changed and think they put in 10w30 when I told them 5w30... Any major differences between the oil weight ? Good or bad? Or probably doesn't matter

Shouldn't hurt since the weather is warm. It would be different if you had the MDS system like I have on my 07' ram. Just change to 5W30 on your next oil change.

I had them add some Lucas oil stabilizer to see if that might help with my oil usage issue

Nope runs like normal. Just noticing before it warms up that tick seems to be a little louder... Always heard it but wasn't to noticeable ... I heard it this morning inside the cab when I would left off the gas and start slowing down even a little.
