So, I'm going to put a 300 LED RGBW strip on the underside of the rails of my truck bed. I have purchased several items to hopefully make it a smoother install, but have some questions.

1) Can I wire my lighted switch to stay on all the time without a problem? I like the lighted switch so I can see it at night. I got the switch from Radio Shack. It is the Lighted Rocker Switch 275-0731, with a small, red bulb on the on side.

2) Where can I pull power from? I am going to wire the controller (change color) as well and want to have power all the time. I would like to end the strip on either side of the tailgate, driver preferable, with my switch on that side. I have no idea where to look for power there though.

3) Will the strip come on with the switch or will I have to use the remote each time? I may have to get a white strip so it will come on with the switch.

Thank you for all the help!!

Why not tap into the cargo lamp power wire that way you don't have to add a switch to the dash ?

I want to be able to turn on and off at the bed, not the cab or key fob (which is time limited)
