Need y'alls opinions...

Okay so I wanted to do something that would fit in my low budget right now, lol, to add some height to my truck. I found this kit on e-bay that I think I want to order. I can't spend big money right now, so I thought this might be decent.

I would like for y'alls opinions on if it's decent or not. Also, would I need to change anything else on the truck once I install this? Thanks in advance...

Check with ramhunter at DB truck customs. he could probably get you a kit for the same price.... Plus the shocks required!!

hmmmm ok....sounds good, i'll look him up....

Yes, with the added height it will almost max out the stock shocks.
And basically you hit a bump.... You'll compress fine, but when it comes back up it will try to over extend the shock and cause damage to the shock entirely.

^^ what he said. i put a simple 1.5in spacer and it will hit the end of the shock from time to time.

Ok so I had a local gentleman here INSIST that if I do this 3" body lift, that I would have to lift the engine too????

Never heard of that before. Most body lifts require you to lengthen the fuel tank filler neck, modify/adjust the fan shroud(if you're using the mechanical fan), and adjustment to the steering linkage and trans shifter linkage

Lift the engine....? That is un-true all you are doing is putting spacers from the frame to the body you would Not have to lift the engine as that is not even needed for a BL.

It's a pretty simple process if you have all the right tools

That kit I suggested is everything you need to lift your truck 3" front and rear .
EVERYTHING needed ... no engine lifting .. lol thats just the dumbest thing I have ever heard ..
Go find that guy and kick him in the nuts for me please .
