on a side note besides the chrome wheels and tint what else is on it? mine was 25msrp.

Correct 1LS lol. It has the Z28 spoiler upgrade, wheels, tint, leather, stereo upgrade, OnStar upgrade, and some kind of brake safety warning system upgrade. Got te LS since it is my wifes car and not mine :) On a side note, she chose the manual over the auto because my wife is cool like that! lol

Yeah unreal right? Wish prices were that low in Canada!

tell me about it! I'm reading this thread and I'm like "what!??" I Canada if you can get a dealer to come down 2k off MSRP you're considered to be doing well. Ugh. That's why I stopped buying new here. Even the used market is getting bad in Ontario, dealers aren't caring if you walk away from a deal anymore :disgust:
I had to settle for 1k off the 2012 I just bought and the only reason I didn't walk away was because the truck was already listed 2k below what everywhere else in the province was asking.

Try Peel Chrysler man! My MSRP was 64,500 and I paid 46,500 before tax! They're the cheapest dealer I could find

Thanks for the tip xr, I'm pretty frugal when it comes to vehicles, I ended up getting a 2012 hemi quad with 34 thousand km for 21k. They were asking 22,300 and everywhere else I looked was listing for 24-25k for same model with much higher mileage so I don't feel too bad

So, the wife, kiddo and I went down to see the truck. Since I drive an SLT 1500 4x2 my wife had the impression that it was going to be too similar to what I already have as a work truck. She was realy surprised by how big and nice the Mega Cab is. My son whom is stuck in the back seat during road trips loved it. Overall she wanted me to make the purchase right then and there. Gotta wait several more weeks though.

I do have another question. I have been using the Build My Ram website. Choosing all the options, etc. At the last stage of doing the mock build it shows your total price and then lists down payments, loan rate, trade in value, etc and then shows monthly payment. Does that pricing schedule shown in the Build My Ram include taxes and delivery/destination charges?

Honestly one other thing when buying a new Ram is sometimes wait a month. Here in TX Feb of 13 got a 13 Ram Lone Star 4x4 CC loaded was $43k got it for $35k OTD with 2" ready lift, full tint job, extended warranty and gap. My friend got his 14 around the same time in 14 and paid almost as much as me at the same dealer for a 14 QC Lone Star 2wd because the rebates were less that month but he needed a truck. They gave him a decent deal but if you can wait always make sure to watch for the rebates. If you find a 14 lone star(big horn) or higher trim they are all $10k plus off sticker before negotiating or at least last month they were not sure on the rebates right now. Even my 14 RC Express was $29,860 on the sticker with after rebates, dealer hold back, and putting 6 local dealers against each other i walked away paying $23,760 OTD which was fine. I had a loan already approved from my credit union so I didn't have to play the monthly payment game with the dealer. They tried at a couple trying to get me to finance and throwing monthly payments at me so I just walked out. I got annoyed. I told them no games I just want a OTD price in the truck and use my own financing since my credit is good at best but my CU gave me a 4.5% rate anyway since I have bought 4 other cars in the past 4 years. I get bored and keep selling and trading. They even paid off the $29 I owed on my 13 and then got the $2900 back from the other dealer for the warranty and gap. Just work a couple against each other and if you see one in another state for a lot less on a website print it out and bring it in. Tell them if they can't get close you'll just buy the other one and have it shipped. I have worked several dealers over the past decade doing paint and interior recon on used and a few new cars and learned a lot about how crooked they are and how to play the game. It's easier when you already know what tricks they will try and how to bend them to the breaking point. Although I didn't negotiate one so hard they told me to go buy the truck from the other dealer since they wouldn't beat or even match the price. Was funny because the one I got had the black package option which is about $1600 and their's didn't but they still though I would cave for a while then gave up. I always find buying a new car or truck fun. It's like a game. My GF hates the BS of going back and forth to the manager but it's what you have to do to get what you want. I come ready for a 4 hour negotiation. Usually eat right before and then I am ready to go the distance.

#@!$ that ! You sound like you might know what u r doing. But, my time is more valuable to me then wasting 4 hours playing games. To me , thats not fun. To each their own though. If thats entertaining to you, so be it. I like some other's suggestions (the internet game). Get them on the internet instead of actually going there.

To me, neither, but if I can haggle the dealer out of an additional $1000 for four hours "work", then that's quite well paid work...

My buddy got a smokin' deal here in the Houston area. In December, he was looking at a 2014 Sport with leather, sunroof, etc.... it stickered around $47K. They were knocking off $10K. But he waited.... then on New Years Eve, they called him and said if you come tomorrow, there is an additional $6500 off.

So he did, and they knocked that off as well. So he got a damn good deal on that truck.

Give them a monthly amount you know they are not capable of making , along with a maximum moths of payments ie.. 48 ,60 ,72 whatever ... not a penny more , seal the deal when they get close enough to meet your maximum needs .

That's what I do .
I've gotten 14,800 + off my last two Rams !
Just be prepared to walk out the door !
Be loud and persistent , make everyone in the room aware of your presents and your intuitions , they will FOLD OR NOT ! , if (NOT) .. THEN YOU GO ELSEWHERE. ..
