I was wondering if anybody has recommendation on specific parts for my truck. Just looking for the basics, like spark plugs, wires, air filter, etc. also i was wondering if I could change the trucks oil to fully synthetic if that would work? Thanks

Air filter go with k&n. I dont believe the 4.7s are picky on spark plugs like the hemis, I dont even remember what I changed mine with but they werent anything fancy. You could change it to synthetic if you really wanted too. People will give you opinions all day on rather to switch or not, personally if its not a hundred thousand dollar car or a brand new vehicle, I would just stick with whats in it. The wires... I dont know about that lol someone else can help you with them

Thanks for your help! I was also thinking of maybe cold air intake, throttle body spacers and exhaust, any opinion on good exhaust system, I've read magnaflow has some good kits?

Just fyi, throttle body spacers wont do anything on these trucks, dont waste money on them. Cold air intake and exhaust is a good idea. Magnoflow makes good kits, hit up Dave at DB truck customs on here, I believe he sells magnaflow and can get you a great deal

4.7's do not use spark plug wires, they are coil on plug ignition systems. As for oil, I use Castrol Synthetic Blend for my 4.7...it's actually recommended by Castrol on my 05.

Oh and like posted above, a throttle body spacer is useless in a multi port fuel injected engine. If it was a TBI engine, it would do good.

i think throttle body spacers are hit and miss with people..i noticed a slight difference in response and about .5-1mpg increase in mpg
