I just traded in my 06 for a 2016 and I am super impressed so far. I drove it a few hundred miles on I-70 and this thing is going to get me in trouble. I looked down a few times and I was doing almost 90. It felt like 70. When you set the Cruise Control to 70 to keep the cops away, it feels really slow. In my 06, you had to really put your foot in it to get it to downshift in the mountains, but the new one is sooo smooth with the 8-speed. I was grinning a lot yesterday.

Congrats! Yes, the 8 speed makes it a different truck. Very smooth, and peppy.

Post up some pics!!

I went from an 06 into my 2014 and the speed thing is so true. What I finally figured out is the cab is so quiet compared to my old truck that it made me less aware of things for a while. I almost had a couple accidents within the first couple months purely from not paying attention. The truck almost lulls you into forgetting you're driving. At least it did for me.

I am still fascinated and play around with all them knobs.
And yes- very quiet and quick. fun to drive and yeah- it lulls you in.

Great truck!

I had fun passing people on a long stretch of 2 lane highway. When you hit the gas, it accelerates so quick! Good thing I was by myself. My wife would have been giving me an ear full.

that's why I bought her the toy she's got. with a nice door handle I can grab a hold when driving with her. and don't say a word....

Picking up my Big Horn tomorrow. It is flame red, so I'm going to have to be very careful with the go pedal. Red trucks do not get any breaks :)

I had a Megacab 2500 Diesel between 2006 and 2011, that truck seemed to be loafing at 75 mph.

Nice...I just love Bighorns! Sports are awesome too but I like trucks with chrome bumpers!

Congrats...you will look forward to driving the truck everyday!
