New 2024 1500 Bumper Color and auto braking issue

Hi, Bought a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 Limited with 5.7L V8 in Ivory Tri coat Pearl. The rear bumper looks a different color than the rest of the truck. It has a pinkish color to it. Dealer says it wasn't repainted. Nothing is reflecting on it. Front bumper doesn't have this issue.

Also while I'm here I noticed my front and rear auto braking does not work. Not sure I want it to work but makes me wonder what other issues with sensors I have if this is not working. Thanks.

How do you know auto braking doesn’t work? I’m assuming you have to force it into a panic situation? My wife’s Audi will brake when the gps says turn. Don’t have this on my Ram, just curious.

My 23 tri-coat white matches fine on all parts. My eye would catch it pretty quick if it didn’t. Sometimes if someone is turning off in front of me and I don’t get on the brake quite fast enough to satisfy the computer, it will apply the brakes.

Most bumpers are painted when they are manufactured, the Ram Boxes are a different shade of silver than the bedsides. When the dealer tried to tell me that steel and plastic will show a different color, I laughed then asked him, "When we painted steel and plastic at the collision center, I ran, it always matched, since we painted them at the same time" He then just got really quiet and asked if I wanted them painted! I told him unless they would paint the whole bed and removed all the trim, then replaced the nameplates? He said they would just paint the Ram Box covers, I told him no, I didn't want a half a$$ repair. But i made him aware and he put it on their repair order.
Look at most of the vehicles on the road, bumpers usually don't match. Ford, GM, Mazda, Acura etc.

If it bothers it that bad
Drive it to a well know Paint & Auto Body Shop

Ask the Manager or His Assistant if they could possibly look at it & give their opinion, don't forget to Gratefully Thank Them, whether they do or do not give you an opinion
