I plan to do this upgrade after I find out about the wiring harness I mentioned above. I have already ordered the Kicker KS325's for the dash.

I was wondering if there is also a plug-n-play replacement for the door speakers as well that would work with this set-up?

Plug and play for the doors and tweets, I ordered and installed as well as sound dampened the truck. I am awaiting the amp and sub, I have been waitin and goose from kicker can verify that. He could tell us or soundgate released yet? Any word goose?

So the 77KICK41 6x9's are plug-n-play for the back doors and the 77KICK28AB 6x9's with separate tweeters are plug-n-play for the front doors?

I did not realize the front 6x9's have a separate tweeter. So all of the MOPAR Kicker drop-in replacement speakers we are talking about have the same Ohm rating as stock right?

The separate tweeters are for the front doors correct? They mount together with the 6x9's? The reason I am asking is because the way I understand it the 3.5's go on top of the dash.

You can go either way, but the tweets go in the dash. There is room for the ks3.5 in the dash as well. But the mopar kickers are designed for the truck. I paid 99 for the backs and 129 for the front, done.

No new news yet, sorry.

Sometimes it takes awhile, for example, we showed our 2014 Silverado kit at SEMA, still waiting on GM's approvals for the system. While we can be in a hurry, auto manufactures may not be :)

Does the mopar kicker 6x9 just drop in a 2014 crew front/rear without trouble? If so I'm planning on going this route and upgrading the kicker sub once the correct wiring is available

While you are doling out the good news do you think adding just the door 6x9s only would match well with the kicker ks35s I have now or is it good to buy the matching tweeter with the mopar kit?

I'm thinking the addition of the 3.5 mid driver with the tweeter in the dash spots would sound even better than just a tweeter, especially with vocals. I plan to use the 77KICK41 6x9's in the front doors to gain another set of tweeters. At least to my ears and what I listen to, the treble is seriously missing and I think this will remedy that.

I really want that amp and sub when it becomes available.

I did not replace the center dash speaker on mine, but I am also considering this now as well. Is that also a 3.5" or is that speaker a different size? I haven't even popped the cover off to check yet.

Also, why would this not work on the 2013-up? There is a power wire tat goes to the battery, a ground that you can put anywhere, and then 2 wire taps that clip onto the factory amp wiring harness. Why do the new trucks need a specific plug when we are simply tapping into existing wires?

dmullen is correct, you can get the 6x9 and tweet kit, and listen to the 6x9's and 3.5" in dash and you may be fine. But soem may prefer a tad more, which you could then add the tweeter somewhere.

To me, I'd think the 3.5" and 6x9 in door would suffice.

Sub yes, the 4.1 amp has a harness to the radio, which changed from 2012 to current 13'-14's.

Gotcha. So the sub still works on all the trucks, but the door speaker amp is what requires the additional plug.

What size speaker is in the center dash? I think I'm going to go ahead and grab that one as well.

Center is a 3.5 as well, kicker has a kit that gives you 2 6x9s and 3 3.5" speakers as well.

Honestly on the Alpine, not sure what size is there. I can check.
