Hello everyone.
I just registered after reading several posts. I hope I am not posting this in the wrong location.

I recently bought a 2012 longhorn Laramie quad. Dually. Fully loaded. But was in an accident. I'm in the process of repairing it and hopefully I can find some guidance here.
It has 44k on it and prior owner completely babied it.
I paid just over 13k. And I am hoping to have it completely repaired for around 7k. I'm sure that's wishful thinking.
I'm not sure if I should do a rebuild thread. If that is appropriate. I would never have bought such a beautiful truck for myself. But doing it this way I can have a very nice truck and not feel I should have used the money for my kids college fund or other family stuff.
I'm having trouble loading multiple pics

If anyone has some knowledge of axles please let me know. I'm having a dilemma on whether my axle is repairable or not. Unfortunately I live in the poconos of Pennsylvania and there are not many shops I have faith in. Previously had a hemi with 10k on truck. Overheated and blew a head gasket. Too it to three shops. They all said I should replace motor.
I wound up repairing myself in two days. Along with a new piston.
Why they felt a truck with 10k needs a new motor is beyond me.

Looks like it will be nice when you're all done!! I wish I had the space, knowledge and tools to be able to fix something like that.

Sorry if I misplaced. Meant to be more of a new member intro.
The HD section says for 2013 and up. So not sure where to put.

Looks like fun. If you need more money to work on it have the kids get scholarships, or student loans. That's what mine did.I'm old school though if you want go work for it.

If you create a rebuild thread I'll deffinitly be subscribing! That would be really cool to see. Nice truck man! What kind of shape is the engine in?
