Got a 2004 Dodge ram 3500, 5.9 diesel driving down the highway everything was fine get off Xway, the truck stop moving forward, wouldn't go into drive but still works in reverse what could be the problem

Automatic ? I seen a rear end that cratered, it would back up , no forward, but that was in a heavy truck
This don't sound like a wreck? But did he stop for some reason, or truck just quite?

Just one more ridiculous thread with no where near enough info to be able to help solve an issue. If the originating OP can't do any better than this, don't waste your time. GTyankee, I admire your willingness to help but you should know by now this is not a good start.
