Picked up my first Ram yesterday, 2018 1500 SLT plus, Ecodiesel, 72000 km. I just sold my grand cherokee to get this truck so I am hoping it will be as good a few years down the road as it is now.
Has a 3" lift and a hard toneau, other than that a nice stock truck. Delmonico red pearl and it is a super clean paint on it. very little rust but it has a weird squeak to it. Will lube up the brakes first then I think I'll start changing bushings.
I can't see anything unusal and no waer marks or polish lines on the suspension so it must be something small but eventually I will find it and get rid of it. the noise drives me crazy

dealer told me they did it but you can only trust them so far. It appears to be done right and the only thing with the truck is I get this intermitent squek. I got on the truck and pushed it up and down with no squeaks. New brakes put on it so I am hoping they were just cheap on the lube. never heard a thing on the 2 hour drive home but honestly I didn't pay attention to the sounds as I had the radio on. There is a bit of vibration when I hit a big bump but with no load I am sure an empty truck would do that to a degree. If it takes me 4 weeks to fix it then so be it. I drive a company car during the week so the truck is for my fishing and fun. I have all the time in the world and this is a challenge, at least I am looking at it this way and it will expand my mechanical knowledge chasing down this squeak.
I checked all the wiring harnesses and a few need new plugs in the frame which are coming tommorow. If its not the brakes then I am checking all the ball joints etc first, then the links then the bushings. Seems logical to do simple stuff before I start taking things apart

How was the lift completed (properly?)
Brakes it would seem. I pulled them, cleaned and lubed them up ( dry as a bone) voila. no more squeak. How a dealer gets by not wire brushing the rust and putting a little brake lube on defies me.
I am double checking every nut and bolt now just in case
