Folks,

They are working through some things. Keep in mind this is a pre-release and only a few forums have access to this new updater. When they straighten things out, you'll be able to mess around with it. :)

I got in .. Now it is prompting me to buy the trans tuna again ?? I already bought that ? Do i need to buy again now ?

And only thing different I see is the page looks different , no other options ect . And it tells me on the screen on the PC that it has been updated but the tuner says the old version ?

No.

If anyone has the M1 error, Superchips wants folks to try this:

The M1 error appears to be related to Windows 7 users.

If you could – Please relay that if users are using Windows 7 and see the M1 error – We would like them to try this…

Open windows explorer (Not to be confused with internet explorer) navigate to the C:\ drive > program files > Superchips > Easy Update – then right click on the file SuperchipsupdateXP.exe – select run as administrator – this should work.

Thanks

The 3.0 updater has a new internal feature. In the past, the old updater would automatically update the tuner to the latest database regardless if no changes were made to your vehicle's specific template. The updater is now smart enough to know when your template has changed and will update you at that time. If the template hasn't changed for your vehicle, it won't update your current database. In essence, whatever revision of database you currently have (regardless of DB number) is up to date.

Here's how the Superchips programmer explained it to me:

Let’s say I change the template (for the calibration in your vehicle) the updater will give you the newest template. The updater keeps a tab on what “revision” you are at. If the template does not change, no change in database…

Please note: DTC's and firmware will always be updated when available.

The new 3.0 updater is now fully online! :)

Please use the new updater for all future updates or upgrades. Thanks!
