Well I just bought my first Hemi a month ago and I use to drive a diesel with a smarty programmer for pulling and gas milage. Being new to a gas vehicle i have no idea where to start. I see people talking about the Diablo Trinity and Bullydog Triple dog, but Im not certian what i need.

My goal, better MPG, but still have some power when i need it. I play with the skinny petal alot and just like to have some more umph when i want it. Im not interested in racing, or alot of performance modificications but something that would be good for my truck and my wants.

I am in the same boat but unsure if I want to take the risk with warranty. It sounds like if your not wanting to get to many other mods than probably a good canned tune is what your looking for and I hear BullyDog GT Plus has one of the strongest.

Bullydog GT Hemi Plus Tuner for 2011-2012 Ram 5.7

Hope this helps.

Yep, if you're looking for just a canned tune BullyDog is the way to go, but if you plan on going for a custom tune setup, Diablo is the best ya can get!

As for warranty, depends on the dealer, they could care they could not, who knows, but while they have the burden to prove the tuner made the part go bad, they could still make your life hell and be a huge hassle in the mean time.

Good info put out above.

I bought the Trinity from hemifever with a custom tune and it certainly made a noticeable difference in the way my truck drives. If you're planning on mods to go with it, like CAI, exhaust or throttle body you may think of doing those first so you don't have to have your tune tweaked later. I went with the Trinity first thinking it would be best bang for the buck. I kind of wish I hadn't sometimes.

Like the guys said, for the basic upgrades you have planned, the Bullydog linked above is perfect. Easy to use, effective, and it is cheaper than the Diablo units as well. If you were looking to add all the boltons and more, then a custom tune using Diablo would be a better choice.

Thanks that's a lot of help. I only have 3k miles left on my warranty so that's why I'm considering a tuner.
