Hi all. I don't have any issues with the tipm but truck is 12 y/o and I'm thinking about removing the tipm, cleaning and adding dielectric grease. With that said, has anyone seen recommendation to protect the tipm? Maybe add a rubber seal to the cover, how about below it, in the connectors, maybe some fiberglass insulation to prevent water from splashing up into it? Thanks, happy trucking

I took mine apart about 3 years ago and put some dielectric grease in the connectors underneath it.

I have no idea how much it may have helped, but so far so good. It doesn't seem to have hurt.

Not dielectric grease. Don't do that.

A light spray of WD40 or fluid film will take care of corrosion just fine without causing a myriad of electrical issues.
