I got 14.1 mpg on a road trip I took today to Tahoe. It should go up as it breaks in

if you’re careful and easy on the go pedal you can get better. But headwinds, hills, mountains, AT or winter tires, snow, cold, winter gas, 4wd use, unneeded idling, flying past idiots, and trying to maintain a Utah speed limit at 5000ft will keep you right at 14-15mpg.

Add towing in there and your all time average will look like this.

In the background I noticed where you got your truck. Been looking in my area for a crew cab and chassis 3500 with the 6.4 to put a utility body on for quite a while , and they are few and far between. The few that I could find the dealers didnt want to deal much, or wanted to order one for me (again, no deals)There is no shortage of diesel trucks, but after 25 years of owning them, I'm done. I expanded my search and came across this dealer with one on the lot, and they are finishing up the paperwork today for what I want. They are Thousands less than anyone else! It almost seemed too good to be true

On my 2018 Ram 2500 on the hi way I averaged about 16mpg. Sometimes I would hit 17 twice I hit 18 mpg.
