Definitely the longer they sit they will deal. There was a 14 blue R/T at my local dealership when I was looking. I tried like hell to get them to come down off of it but they wouldnt. A guy I know went 2 months later and got it for under $29K OTD.

Volume dealers will move on the price just to get the unit too, its just Inventory allocation for the next year + Hold Back and on to the next car. Some will work the profit off your trade instead of course.. But I agree, a small dealer on a low traffic road in the middle of nowhere deals more in price per unit vs. units per year.

Chrysler sees " Jim Bob's Chrysler Jeep Ram " has sold 100 Ram trucks in 2014. They will allocate 100 trucks to the lot next year too.. As compared to 600 trucks sold in 2014 and looking for more so I'm giving him 650 this year

I usually dont even deal with the local lots, just ride to Atlanta, Dallas, wherever your nearest big city volume lots are and you'll always find a better deal. New / Used, current or previous model year in my experience it will pay off to deal with large volume lots.

So true, when I was buying my truck I was looking all over but mostly Houston, Dallas and Atlanta. Just more people = more vehicles and they can sell them cheaper.

I could rarely find any good deals in Louisiana. I actually bought my truck in Chattanooga off the internet.
