Has anyone tried JBA’s control arms?

I’ve been on the fence about what kind to buy. I’ve been leaning towards the ProComp ones with the uniball. The use a FK 1.25 stainless steel uniball and includes a billet dust cap. They run $599.
The Icon are $780+$40 for the dust cap and I believe the only use a 1” uniball.
I’ve read some reviews on the ProComp and they seem extremely well made. I do not live in a icey, salty road environment where I’ll have a problem with squeaky Uniballs.

On my search for a quality control arm I came across the JBA ones that use a ballpoint. The ball joint has a greater range of movement than the Total Chaos and Icon uniball. The Ball joint is also made in house by them. Unfortunately it’s only available in the JBA red paint. So I’m most likely going to have to paint them!

Any thoughts on what control arms are good or on the JBA ones?
The Zone control arms are out of the question for me!

It’s the type of ball joint used. Not a fan of it.
The control arms themselves look good.

Yes.
First off, I think for one they’re way overpriced. Especially since I don’t already have the Icon arms. I’d be spending $900+ For them. AND even if I already owned a set of the Icon Uni-ball and the Uni-ball need to be replaced it would be over $300 to “upgrade” to the delta joint.

They honestly do not seem much better than the JBA ball joint. I’ve watched both company’s videos several times. The JBA seems super strong and is also high angle. Probably the same as Icon or greater. Plus a replacement ball joint from JBA is $60

Icon seems to be in a lot of vehicles dedicated to racing, just like Total Chaos. i'm not saying your logic is wrong, if you like JBA's because of the price just state so, everything has a place, i wouldn't care much for the Delta joint either because i don't live in a state that has to deal with salt, and even then, my TC UCA's didn't squeak a lot when i had them in my Yotas :), though when they were starting to squeak, i'll spray some CRC fluid and that was it.
JBA seems ok and like ther idea for BJ replacements, asides from that, are their bushings OK? how long before you need to replace the BJ ? how much of the travel you'll use. will the frame hold to abuse/environment, they're priced good though. I'm sure they have to be reviews out there from people outside of this community as they're not a RAM only item.

If I thought the Icon control arms are a far superior part, I would absolutely buy them. I spent $1800 on my two front shocks. So it’s not just the price of the Icon. It’s more of them just charging a ridiculous price for them. And I don’t see a better product from Icon.

I could not find much negative things on the JBA arms. And I’ve went through probably 30 pages of forums with people talking about them and comparing them to the Icon and Total Chaos arms. The forums were mostly Toyota trucks.

I haven’t heard any issues with their bushings. They come with a one year warranty on the bushings and ball joints.

I’ve been on the website a few times. It’s hard to navigate it! And frustrating! I can’t even find any suspension parts on the site for my truck

Cool, i'm not saying JBA's are bad just in case, i can't tell you anything about them as i never had them, I've used SPC, Total Chaos, Icon and Camburg. Camburg doesn't make UCA's for our trucks so i never mention them. They're all good, and they will all get the job done. JBA's are very very similar to the SPC's so they should work well, i did a quick search for you and those JBA's and i don't think you'll have any problems with those man.
Good luck to you.

I dealt with them directly through the forum. They were really great to deal with. I had a fair few questions and Nick reached out to Icon multiple times for me. You could always shoot him a message on here!

Did you end up buying any? Also I was almost sure that uniballs allow for a greater range and angle than a ball joint and that is why all prerunners and race trucks use uniballs instead of ball joints. I know when I put my long travel front end on my truck dirt king said I would get better performance out of the uniballs instead of ball joints but up to you. They do look like a nice uca for the price!

We offer forged aluminum uniball UCA's if you wanted to check out another option. Figured I would throw it out there.

I have the JBA's still waiting on my springs before I install them.

I have the JBA's still waiting on my springs before I install them. Looking at them in person that BJ is pretty bad ass and does have some serious range of motion. Overall build quality is on par with the custom control arms I run on my Challenger and I like the fact I can dump a normal K6292 in if I need to replace a BJ in a pinch. That being said I seriously doubt I would break one of these things with the mundane level of road driving my truck sees.

Those JBAs look sick! If I had not gone all in with ICON, and gotten FOX or Bilstein's instead, I likely would have bought them. Get 'em!

(As far as normal Ball Joint UCAs go, I like the BDS ones, for what it's worth)

I have not purchased any UCA’s yet. It took a couple months before my Fox shocks came in the mail. Then add some relationship problems, then buying a new house, and the truck mods were placed on the back burner.
I am now in the new house. Garage floor coating will be done next week and once I get my tools and everything moved in, I’ll get the shocks on and new UCA’s.
I think I’ll will be going with the JBA arms.
