Hello all. I just got into my very first truck and picked out a awesome 2008 Ram 1500 Big Horn.

So far, I am in LOVE with this truck but wondering what I should do to it when I get the money.

So far, all I have been able to do was debadge the sides and back and tint my tail lights (legal and cheap to do).

All opinions will be met with open eyes!

Before my personal mods.

Welcome, a level kit will help with the front heavy bumper unless you like the raked look. A set of Retro headlights would finish off your lighting. Then decide if you want the basics like intake and tuner and exhaust. A quick muffler swap will make ya grin.

Retro headlights huh? I am not sure if I have seen those or now. And as far as level/lift kits I think I am leaning more towards a lift kit for the added ground clearance. And thank you for the welcome!

One thing on the 07-08 I can't stand are the round tail lights- a set of nice LED tail's is always good for the back end to smooth out the body line.

As far as retro headlights- check out the preferred vendor Retroshop; I recently bought a set of HID projectors and they are awesome. The owner JJ does great retrofit and paint work, and will give you all the help you need if you want to retrofit yourself. He has great pictures on the website too, but here's how mine turned out for an idea of what you can do:

That does look pretty nice. There are some really awesome looking headlighs i've been looking at. As far as the tail lights go, I don't mind them all that much once they're tinted...I will eventually get some LED ones but I like the black out effect more.

They do look really nice on your truck though...Wish I could just pull mine out and get everything painted black for now.

It's been done by a former member. I would highly advise you NOT to do it. It was a total PITA to remove, from what I can recall...I think the damn thing still had PD on it when he got rid of it.

Oh, because I just watch a video on how to do it and it looked really good. If I was to do it I think I would do it all white with the grill and plasti dip the wheels white/red for looks.

Haha thank you! I figured it would be nice to have a little holiday cheer since it's my own Christmas present. I put 2 ribbons in the upper corners of the grill for a little more cheer! I'll get a picture tomorrow when there's light outside again.
