So after hitting an elk, I had to get some new stuff for the truck (RIP Iron cross bumper...)

Because the bumper damaged one of the tires, rather than put one new tire on I ordered new wheels and tires, in part so I don't have to run spacers anymore. After much interwebbing and head-scratching, decided on 17" Ballistic Jesters and 35x12.5x17 Toyo Open Country R/Ts (fairly new tire). These replace the ProComp rims and Cooper Discoverer STTs (Which I will sell).

Anyone have any experience with the Toyo R/Ts? they're pretty new but look like a great compromise between an A/T and M/T:

Stoked to see how these look on my truck!

Have any crash pics? I bet an elk would do some serious damage!

the iron cross bumper took most of the damage. Didn't take a pic until after i pulled it off...

After:

(And yes, i had just put that grill screen on...)

Bumper in the bed:

You can see where the bumper left scarring on the passenger tire. It held air but it's got to be replaced. Miraculously, truck was driveable after, and even drove straight... :favorites13:

I have those wheels. The silver knobs look god awful. Put one on, looked at it, in the trash they went.

Well I bet you're glad you have the Iron cross bumper rather than stock! Lol I'm sure it really saved the front end!

Yeah that bumper saved my truck for sure. Didn't love the way it looked, but it sure did the job it was meant to

I shouldn't hate them as much as I do, but yeah I do. Huge plastic knobs on the outside of a wheel? Designer should be shot.

I think they actually work better with my rig because it's white and has some chrome accents. I could see them standing out too much against all black

Man, I would have hate to see the damage if you didn't have that bumper.

Like the new look though.

I thought the inner lip was supposed to be red?

The wheels come with stick-on red inserts. I think I'll leave em off.

Almost there...
