Newbie from the middle east

Hi all, my name is Harvey and I am from Abu Dhabi in the UAE, an expat originally from the UK. I am new to owning a truck and needless to say a RAM. In the summer I made a decision to purchase a truck for a number of reasons, one being, the roads over here have one simple rule, the bigger you are the more respect you get. I spent a couple of months researching and looking at all the trucks available here in the UAE, Ford, Chevrolet, GMC and Toyota mainly. I was very close to buying a F150 but once I drove the RAM I fell in love with it.

So 91 days ago (not that I am counting ), I placed an order for a new RAM 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4, 5.7 Hemi in black and today they tell me it will be ready in 7 days. Gulf Spec RAM’s do not come with the air suspension, so I have taken to opportunity to have her lifted 2 inches (the maximum by law here). Over here we do a lot of off-roading in the desert so I am looking forward to giving her a blast on the sand.

Anyway the wait is killing me.

I will post some pics when I get her.

welcome to the forums! you're gonna love the Ram.

just a note tho, the air suspension is available in GCC spec Ram's a few months ago I test drove a 2013 with 8spd, air susp and rambox, was fully decked out.
for suspension lift i believe you can go more than 2" if the its an OEM lift or authorized, you can check with some of the big performance shops as they would be able to help.
