While surfing the threads for some popular mods to do to my 1500, I kept seeing where members stated they installed a catch can. Sorry for the newbie question but what is it and what does it do? Thanks in advance!

Can these devices be used on a Pentastar?

A brand new motor is the perfect time to install a catch can before any gunk starts to build up in your motor. I had a catch can on the wife's Jeep within a few days of bringing it home.

Lol amen.. my next round of planned mods is an intake, 2'' rear drop and a catch can. Unfortunately taking the family to Disney in 2 months so my slush fund (without getting smacked) is kind of low!! :favorites13:

Hahaha. Looking at your signature, how do you like the tinted fogs? I plan on purchasing either black housing quads with oracles or black projectors along with black LED tails& 3rd Brake. I want to do something with the fogs to bring it all together.

I like em, goes with my full black theme! It takes a way a bit of light but looks great so its worth it to me!! Sounds like you got a nice plan in place!! :favorites13:

Same question here. And is it as necessary on a Pentastar as it appears to be on a Hemi?

Inquiring V6 owners want to know. :)
Put one on your pentastar. I've replaced a lot of cylinder heads the pentastar and they always had oil in both intakes.

Gee thanks. But Googling for it and getting an informed opinion (here, for example) are two different things.

I apologize if my link wasn't capable of providing the informed opinions you were looking for,,, (?)

You need a catch can. That's my informed opinion.

So now you've had 2 folks tellin ya ta get one and ZERO folks saying not to get one.

So,,, which one are ya gonna get?????

I seconded guessed it for awhile like I mentioned, but after you go 30 days and dump out what could be going back through your TB, you'll be glad you got one.

Loved,
A cheap tightwad that questions all my mod purchases multiple times :D
