Are you tuned? If you are try re-installing the original tune and see if anything changes.I had those issues on my 14 when it was first tuned and it turned out to be a corrupt tune file, funny thing was it took a couple months for it to show up.Might not be you're issue, but if you're tuned,it's worth trying the original tune and see if things clear up,if you're not tuned just disregard, lol.

No no tune yet but dam I’m totally lost on what the issue is the only thing I can think it could be is that I bought a used TIPM and may have possibly gotten another bad one

I would go with bad TIPM one thing I don't think I would buy used.

I’m with you I ordered a new TIPM and hopefully it’s the issue but it’s not going to be here until Monday or Tuesday

You need to find out what is causing the “no bus” message instead of just throwing parts at it. It could be any of the modules in your truck, PCM,Cluster,TIPM,WCM,ORC,Radio etc, or the wiring between them.

You’ll need a scan tool that can see all the modules and find out which one is not communicating. Then check power/ground/bus wiring.

Have you already replaced the TIPM? Your first post says you did, then you said you have one on order?

The CAN bus can be a cold hearted b****. It is meant to be a fault tolerant system but in actual usage, it is problematic. When there is a problem, it appears to be in unrelated systems, like you described. Have you recently changed something, anything, like swapped in LEDs, radio, anything?

Yes I did replace it but it was a used one so I’m hoping that I actually just got a bad used part so I ordered a new one and I’m really hoping that it’s the issue

I had put a used TIPM in it the first time and as we all know it’s highly possible that I got a bad used one so I have a new one on the way

I actually work for a Chrysler dealership and one of our best techs has been trying to figure it out and his first diagnosis was a cluster so I have a replacement one in it with close to my miles and like I said I had put a used TIPM in to steering column has been a part center concil is been apart and no loose wires or bad connections radio does work if I unplug the set of plugs to the cluster and yes you are totally right I’m not wanting to just be throwing any more parts at it

This issue just happened out of nowhere it was fine in the morning and got in it to go home and that’s when it all started

So if someone has actually looked at it, which modules aren’t communicating? Does a scan tool even power up at the DLC? Checked Diagnostic bus voltage at the DLC?

Yes you can get a scan on it but the problem is it can’t be pin pointed but the good news is I work for the Chrysler dealership I have it at and now I have a open repair order on so I’m having to buy any more parts if they put one in that doesn’t fix the issue. It’s a lost communication issue but can’t pin point where it’s lost from I was really hoping that someone else has had the same problem and could tell me what fixed there’s i have read several posts that have had moisture issues with their truck I have checked every plug every connections everything is clean with no corrosion

The problem with a no bus issue like you have is that there is multiple things that could cause it. Hope they figure it out, bus issues can be a nightmare.

Yes you are totally right it is a nightmare and I’m going on week number two with this issue I guess it’s time to get Chrysler involved and see if there is anything they can tell me about it I’ve read several other post with the same issue and exactly what you said about there being several things that can cause it so when I find a post with the same issue I can’t find one that is the same problem I think I have found five or six different reasons for it but I will definitely post a update as soon as I have it figured out.. Thanks again Ram owners for your input and advice

Ok guys I told everyone that I would post when I figured out what the issue was with the no bus message and everything going on with my cluster .. you guys just won’t believe what it was that actually screwed everything up A BROKEN SPEAKER WIRE IN THE PASSENGER DOOR after two weeks of diagnosis and replacing the TIPM and cluster I hope this post will get some help to Ram owners If you end up with the same issue just remember to try not to just throw some parts at

Speaker wire was probably shorted against a bus wire. Just a speaker wire wouldn’t cause it.

Glad they got it figured out, bus issues can be a nightmare.

Yeah I’m sure your right but the only thing he told was it was a speaker wire so at this point I’m just glad it’s fixed I guess the previous owner must have done some work on and left it mess

I just wanted to let you know that I should’ve posted that about the speaker wire I got the totally wrong information last night but when I got to work this morning I did find out that there is a plug in the passenger kick panel that has all the bus wires running through it and it had just came unplugged over time from it not being locked in
